Colorado Aromatics was started by Dr. Cindy Jones, a biochemist and herb farmer. She has an extensive background in physiology, toxicology, microbiology, cancer research and cosmetic science. She is a highly sought after product development consultant for natural cosmetic and skincare products. Her passion for science and her love of herbs became the catalyst to develop the Colorado Aromatics skincare line. This line has a scientific perspective behind it. Her knowledge of herbalism and skincare is the basis of the brand. She found a niche in cosmetic formulation. Dr. Jones has a huge team of experts that help her with all of her products. Not only does they help make the products in the Colorado Aromatics line, but the team does a lot of consulting as well as private labeling and small scale manufacturing. They also make and sell botanical extracts under the name Colorado Aromatics.
The Colorado Aromatics line consists of a good number of products for skincare and wellness. I was lucky enough to two of them. I tried the Springtide Gold Anti-Aging Face Cream and the Parsley Eye Serum. Believe me, I was pleasantly surprised at how well these products worked. Especially because these are almost all natural products, with very little chemical components.
This cream is extraordinarily rich. The first time I put it on I was pleasantly surprised because it actually “prickled” when I put it on. I thought it must be a fluke but every time I applied it did it again and again. I attribute this to the ingredients in this cream. This cream is all natural and is not one of those creams that you would think is too granola. I also adore the scent. It has an herbal scent that reminds me of salad! The Springtime Gold Anti-Aging Face Cream is supposed to decrease the signs of aging caused by sun exposure and oxidation (free radicals). The ingredients in this cream are very fresh. The emollient cream has the following: raspberry seed oil to block UV light; rice bran oil to soften and restructure skin; green tea extract for collagen support and to reduce wrinkles; allantoin, which is very soothing and hydrating for the skin and regenerates cells; lupine extract to prevent water loss; calendula extract, which is an anti-inflammatory; vitamin C ester to support collagen production; alpha lipoic acid to reduce wrinkles; fennel extract improves moisture and rosemary is an anti-oxidant that tones skin. This formula is a little bit different than the original one. It contains added peptides to boost collagen synthesis.
I liked how rich and emollient this cream is. If you have dry skin, you will really enjoy this cream. I don’t think if would be ideal for those with oily or acneic skin types. This is a cream that is good for those with normal to dry skin skins. It is for aging skin, you have to remember. I like that it hydrates the skin so well. In the mornings, after having used this cream, my skin looked and felt amazing. Truly amazing.
Colorado Aromatics Springtime Gold Anti-Aging Face Cream comes in a 2 oz. container for $24.95
This serum, or oil if you will, is rich is Vitamins A & K, to help reduce fine lines and dark circles around the eyes. It contains organic macadamia nut oil which is rich in fatty acids and protects aging skin; parsley extract, an anti-inflammatory rich in Vitamins A, C & K; sea buckthorn oil, rich in anti-oxidants, phytosterols, carotenoids, vitamins A and E; rosemary extract rich in antioxidants; it is high in palmitoleic acid and also contains meadowfoam oil. Smooth on gently around the eyes, dabbing gently under the eye and beside eye area as well. Even though it is an eye serum it makes a great facial oil as well and can be used anywhere on the face that it is needed. It is also great around the lips as well.
This oil is soothing to the eye area. It definitely helps with fine lines and wrinkles in the eye area. I can say that it is a great serum/oil to have around and use. As for dark circles, I do think that it helped lighten mine just a tad. My dark circles are already pretty light, the Vitamin K it great for dark circles. I do think that I did have good luck with this oil and that I will continue to use it.
Parsley Eye Serum is (1/2 fl.oz.) $10.95.
Not only do they have face care, but they have skin & body care and bath & shower care products too.
